The Rain Man
WHEN THE RAIN FALLS, THE RAIN MAN KILLS.
Cumberland, Maryland. March 1936.
As relentless rain swells the Potomac River and threatens to unleash the worst flood in the city’s history, another terror stalks the streets.
Raymond Twigg is a troubled man haunted by un-bearable pain and a sinister presence inside his mind. He calls it the Rain Man. When the rain begins, the voice grows stronger, promising relief from his suffering. But its price is blood.
And the bodies are beginning to pile up.
As floodwaters rise, the city descends into chaos. Streets disappear beneath raging currents, families struggle to survive, and a killer finds the perfect cover for his crimes.
Jake Fairgrieve is determined to stop the murderer, but with Cumberland drowning around him, time is running out. The closer he gets to the truth, the more dangerous the hunt becomes.
Can Jake stop a killer who believes murder is his only salvation before the rising waters swallow the evidence—and his next victim?
Blending the actual events of Cumberland’s devastat-ing 1936 St. Patrick’s Day Flood with a chilling tale of murder and madness, The Rain Man is a historical thriller where nature’s fury is matched only by the darkness of the human mind.
